A couple of days ago we informed you that General Motors might be thinking of taking the Los Angeles Auto Show to the new generations of the Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain. Well, not 72 hours have passed when the bow-tie brand has confirmed that in Detroit will be the new generation of this SUV. To make it official, the brand has given us a first official image (in which very little is seen) of this model.
Next year the Traverse will receive what will be its first major redesign since it was presented and put on sale in the distant year 2008. During all this time has had to settle for minor updates and a very subtle mechanical and technological set-up. However, this will change since the evolution that is presupposed in design, motorizations and interior quality (infotainment included) will be exponential.
If you look at the image that the firm has posted we can see that its lateral line resembles its big sister, the Chevrolet Equinox. Of course after the years that have passed the design of the Traverse that is still for sale had nothing in common with the new image of the brand and therefore its change will be radical.
General Motors still does not loose garment on the main changes that will undergo the model. The only thing that has advanced is this photo and some loose details. Among them, he has reported that he will have the most legroom in his third row of seats. This improvement is also linked to the increase of its space and load capacity together with the new assistants and driving technologies among which are the new D-optic headlights that will provide a more natural light beam.
For everything else will have to continue waiting for news of the brand, in addition to the official confirmation of the presence at the Detroit Auto Show of his brother the SUV GMC Terrain.
